soooo, ive been a die hard Dragonball fan for years. About 10. And alot of people dont like Dragonball (Z or GT either), and no matter what I always defended the series. And years ago fans were teased with the idea of a Dragonball movie of sorts. Eventually it was greenlit and it was brought the the big screen. Whether or not this movie was going to be good or bad was a point of intrest even before it was picked up. After seeing Cast choices and production photos it was whether or not the movie adaptation would show the series justice. And Today (in the US) it was decided whether or not the movie was going to be good or bad.
Theres never a correct answer because some people are going to love it and some people are going to hate it. Me on the other hand…I didnt like it. Now im not one of those fans who is complaining because it wasnt a direct adaptation but it just didnt do it for me. Now there were a FEW parts that were good, humoring and eye winking but overall, the fast pacing, lack of character development, lack of good plot, lack of Piccilo screen time, lack of good acting just made this movie along the line of other bad film adaptations. Now im not saying i’ll never see this again. Im saying if you are expecting Dragonball Evolution to be a good adaptation movie…its really not. They couldve done so much better. I felt like I was in the 90’s…like they did the best they could? Films have come a LONGGGG way and if they are going to tackle sequels for the Dragonball series they need to take a look at the opinion of the fanbase, they need a better script and take it a bit more seriously.
